Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Education Aide to support students with special needs in both individual and group settings. This role is essential in helping students achieve their educational goals by providing instructional, behavioral, and personal care support under the direction of Special Education staff and administrators. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist students with academic tasks, classroom participation, and individualized learning activities.
• Provide behavioral and social-emotional support to foster a positive learning experience.
• Implement accommodations and modifications outlined in Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other staff to reinforce learning strategies.
• Supervise students during transitions and other school activities.
• Maintain a safe, structured, and engaging environment for students.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent 
• Prior experience working with children, particularly those with special needs, is a plus.
• Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team.
• Must obtain necessary clearances, including PA Child Abuse, PA Criminal Background, and FBI Fingerprint clearances.
